About David Sternberg
I have been in private practice since 2002, providing individual therapy, couples counseling and group therapy. I've given presentations at Washington, D.C., area clinics and hospitals on stress management, depression and relationship issues.
In addition, I'm a frequent contributor to 4therapy.com. I've written mental health articles for several other web sites and magazines, including www.helpstartshere.org; ivillage.com; Clinical Psychiatry News, and Bethesda magazine. My work on relationships, holiday blues and stress management have been featured on MSN, in The Washington Post (voices.washingtonpost.com/checkup) and 'Good Morning America' (please see Home Page).
Prior to starting my practice, I worked for four years at a community mental health clinic in Orlando, Fla., where I provided psychotherapy and counseling. I later worked at Washington Hospital Center, where I was the lead outpatient therapist and provided clinical supervision to colleagues.
I received my master's degree in clinical social work in 1997 from Florida State University. I hold clinical social work licenses in Washington, D.C. and Maryland.
I am committed to helping clients lead happier and healthier lives.
